The warm days and rain are bringing life to the vineyards – and a lot of work for us! We’ve been out almost every day for the past few weeks, because every step counts now: weeding, cleaning the trunks, and tying up the vines are all on the agenda. Our young vines also needed special attention; since their roots haven’t yet grown deep, they were watered. We also replaced some vines and carefully tended to the area beneath them.
The vines are now in full bloom, and as the old farmer’s saying goes: there are only about 100 days left until harvest.
To protect the vines from mildew, we continue to rely on organic pesticides – fully in line with our sustainable philosophy and for healthy, top-quality grapes.
