Organic viticulture out of conviction<\/span><\/span><\/strong> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Organic viticulture for us is the basis of our philosophy of producing wine, which is why we have been certified since 2013 – we are often asked: “What is the difference to integrated viticulture?<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The decisive differences between organic viticulture and “integrated production” are that chemical-synthetic nitrogen fertilizers, easily soluble phosphorus fertilizers and chemical-synthetic pesticides are not used and no herbicides may be used for soil care.<\/span><\/span> <\/span>When it comes to crop protection, preference is given to using plant strengtheners, but also specifically approved crop protection products for organic production.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n Of these, the preparations containing copper and sulfur are the most important for fighting downy mildew and oidium.<\/span><\/span> <\/span>This makes a significant contribution to increasing biodiversity in the vineyard ecosystem.<\/span><\/span> <\/span>(Source: \u00d6WM)<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The Wine Act and the products listed in the EU Organic Regulation for the processing of organically produced grapes apply to wine production.<\/span><\/span> <\/span>The addition of pure yeast is permitted, reduced SO2 levels apply.<\/span><\/span> <\/span>Biological-organic farms guarantee that all the ingredients used in the farm are free of genetic engineering.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>The approved Austrian control bodies guarantee that the guidelines of the EU regulation and the organic associations are observed.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n Austria is the leader in the European Union with an organic share of around 25 percent of agricultural land.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Organic viticulture out of conviction Organic viticulture for us is the basis of our philosophy of producing wine, which is why we have been certified since 2013 – we are often asked: “What is the difference to integrated viticulture?
